About the Catherine Proctor Book Award

This award was established under Wesley Proctor Ministries, Inc. (WPM), in October 2009 and is named after our founder's mother Catherine Proctor, who while as single parent raising 4 children, pursued higher education and earned her Bachelor's degree in social welfare from Temple University in 1983.

 

The Catherine Proctor Book Award is therefore awarded to a single parent pursuing higher-education, who like Ms. Catherine Proctor has overcome challenges and disappointments, but yet still determines to make a better life for themselves and their family through education.

 

Wesley Proctor Ministries will be awarding one (1) scholarship to a single parent, from the City of Philadelphia, wishing to pursue higher education during the academic year. The student must be enrolled at a certified institution of higher learning within the State of Pennsylvania.

 

The scholarship award is in the amount of $200.00.
